Padulella Beach
Located on the northern coast of the municipality of Portoferraio, Padulella beach, rich in pebbles and white sand, is among one of the most popular relaxation oases for tourists who love the sea breeze. The sea has wonderful colors with shades ranging from aqua green to turquoise. Thanks to the establishment of the marine reserve in 1971, this beach's rich wildlife makes it perfect for snorkeling, practiced by divers eager to delve into the profindity of this splendid sea and observe the fantastic creatures that inhabit it. It is located between Capo Bianco beach, with which it shares a parking lot, and Cala dei Frati beach, accessible by sea. On the beach there is a beach resort with a bar and restaurant that is also open for dinner.
How to get to the beach
You can easily reach this wonderful beach by accessing it from two points that can be reached by taking the road that goes from the municipality of Portoferraio leads towards Le Ghiaie, following the Padulella-Enfola sign. Once you pass the beach of Le Ghiaie, following a walking section of about 300 meters, you can finally reach the beach of the Padulella through a small pedestrian path at the entrance of which we can find a bar that prevents cars from passing. Furthermore, the lack of parking makes this access point highly inadvisable to motorists. The second point from which to reach Padulella beach, however, will allow you to get there by following the road leading to Capo Bianco, at the end of which there is a large paid parking lot; once you get out of the car, you can continue on foot along a small road a few dozen meters long that passes through several villas, until you reach the beach.
