In May and June, the lucky inhabitants of the island of Elba, especially those living near the village of Capoliveri, can admire the blooming Mediterranean scrub that extends from Monte Calamita behind the large beach, which takes its name from the town where it stands.
Facing southwest and well sheltered from northerly winds, Morcone beach is composed of a mix of sand and pebbles, is 250 meters long and 20 meters wide. It stands out from the others for a wonderful combination of nature and services, able to meet the needs of all those who wish to enjoy the beauty of this fantastic corner of paradise.
We're talking about a slightly uncrowded stretch of coast, except for the month of August, where attendance is still considerable in every corner of the island.

The natural and wild aspect of Morcone beach
The Morcone beach is located on the part of the island called Costa dei Gabbiani. The flora is rich and extends to the vicinity of the beach, then degrades into a sea with blinding clarity, a particular bright turquoise.
The beach has a very shallow water entrance, which tends to increase in depth rather gently and also allows parents with children to be quite calm during daily baths.
For snorkelers, but also for those new to wearing masks, the relatively shallow seabed allows you to observe a wide variety of fish and marine species.

If you decide to arrive on site in your own car, Morcone beach has a small paid parking lot. It can also be conveniently reached using the Minibus service guaranteed by the municipality of Capoliveri.
This is absolutely not a place where it is conceived to be bored as, if you wish, you can join the various initiatives proposed, such as kayak tours or scuba diving to admire the wonders that the waters hide.
On the beach there are a few refreshment points between establishments, bars and restaurants, making bathing more comfortable and suitable for the whole family.
