Beach Features
Cavoli beach is perhaps the most famous and popular beach on the entire island of Elba. Its clear sea, beautiful sand, and unique microclimate make this beach unique. Cavoli beach faces south, while Monte Capanne protects it from northerly winds, contributing to its consistently mild climate. Sunbathing and swimming are therefore possible even out of season, essentially from March to November. This is because the sun heats the granite valley and shallow basin, causing thermal anomalies. For this reason, prickly pears and plants like aloe vera, which love warm climates, grow abundantly along the rocky slopes. Cavoli beach is made up of grainy sand that doesn't stick to the skin. The beach is more than 350 meters long and 25 meters wide; a small cliff divides it into two parts. The larger part is occupied by various beach resorts, while the smaller part is free and frequented by those seeking greater tranquility. The cliff is also very popular with those who love diving. From Cavoli beach, it is possible to discover the spectacular Blue Grotto, 600 meters from the bay and reachable only by pedalo or boat. Cavoli beach is the most beautiful beach in the area. The most fashionable beach on the island of Elba. Although it is suitable for families with children, in July and August it is crowded with young people as the evenings are enlivened by DJ sets, live music, and beach parties. From the beach, the horizon offers views of the islands of Montecristo and Pianosa. In Cavoli, you can find bars, restaurants, bazaars, pedal boat and other types of boats, deckchair and umbrella rentals, a surfing school, beach clubs, free and paid parking, and a landing strip.
