Beach features and services
Cala Seregola beach is also known as Capo Pero, due to the promontory located right in the northern area of the cove. This area is very rich in iron, in fact for a long time it was one of the major mining centers in all of Italy. Even today, in fact, the remains of mining activity can be observed with the old Rio Albano mine and the loading dock. The strong presence of iron in the area has meant that the beach, made up of gravel and sand, is a splendid earth-red color with small, shiny black fragments. The sandy bottom covered with clear water rich in fish, in the sunlight offers a beautiful shimmer caused precisely by the strong presence of minerals. The north-east exposure makes this beach particularly recommended when the Ponente and Maestrale rivers blow. On clear days, the panorama offers an enchanting view of the island of Palmaiola, the islet of Cerboli and the island of Giglio. The beach is quite long (190 metres) and very wide (64 metres) and has a bar-restaurant. It is also possible to rent sun loungers and umbrellas. Also, just behind the beach there is a large parking lot for cars and campers. During the high season the beach is usually very busy and is particularly suitable for families with children and snorkelers.
How to get to the beach
Getting to Cala Seregola beach is very easy.
